Care-A-Van

The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Community Care-A-Van is a free, mobile medical unit. Services provided include primary medical care, immunizations, acute care, physicals and education on various health-related topics. Free testing for syphilis and HIV also is offered, as well as referrals for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Pregnancy testing and referrals for prenatal care also are available.

Health Care for the Homeless

Health Care for the Homeless works to prevent and end homelessness for vulnerable individuals and families by providing quality, integrated health care and promoting access to affordable housing and sustainable incomes through direct service, advocacy and community engagement.

I Want The Kit is a website that mails free STD & HIV testing kits straight to your door. Kits arrive in a plain brown package so that no one will know what’s in them. Kits test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis in the penis, anus, or vagina.

It’s Your (Sex) Life supports young people in making responsible decisions about their sexual health. Online includes information about communication, the GYT (Get Yourself Tested) campaign, frequently asked questions, condoms, consent, STD treatment, HIV/AIDs, birth control, and shows. GYT encourages testing for STDs, including HIV and empowers young people to have an open dialogue about STDs.

U Choose Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative Coalition

TPPI helps teens prevent pregnancy, access all forms of birth control, and learn about safe sex. This is a group made up of more than 40 community partners working collaboratively to improve resources for Adolescent Reproductive Health.
TPPI aims to reduce teen births in Baltimore City by ensuring that adolescents and young adults have access to
1) Age-appropriate and evidence-based sexual health education and information;
2) Access to effective family planning, youth-friendly and up-to-date clinical services and;
3) Community support to make informed sexual health decisions.
