The Urban Agriculture Department of University of Maryland Extension-Baltimore City strives to provide the most current research-supported methods for growing food, ornamentals, environmentally friendly, and native plants in Baltimore City. The Urban Agriculture Department provides technical assistance, educational workshops and classes, volunteer opportunities, and conducts trainings in the topics of: Urban Farming; Community Gardens and Community Greening or beautification projects; School yard gardens & School Farms; Home gardening &Â Environmental stewardship.
