The Family Violence Prevention and Services Program administers the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA), the primary federal funding stream dedicated to the support of emergency shelter and related assistance for victims of domestic violence and their children. Programs listed include Resource Centers, State Domestic Violence Coalitions, and the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

House of Ruth Maryland provides direct services for victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) and their children. We lead the fight to end violence against women and their children by confronting the attitudes, behaviors and systems that perpetuate it, and by providing victims with the services necessary to rebuild their lives safely and free of fear.
Our services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, legal services, counseling services, community education and abuse intervention.

Adelante Familia is a bilingual program at the House of Ruth Maryland dedicated to the eradication of intimate partner violence in the Latino community. We provide free legal and social services to immigrant women and girls in Maryland fleeing violence (like domestic violence, rape, and human trafficking), or who are denied basic human rights and freedoms because of their gender. Programs and services offered in Baltimore include free legal services and social services, training and education, trafficking prevention, and poverty alleviation and family stabilization programming, including life skills workshops and a medical debt forgiveness project.

Service seeker requests must primarily involve the legal protection of immigrant women and girls from violence or persecution. We also have a Forced Marriage Initiative to assist individuals facing or fleeing forced marriage in the United States or abroad.

The Westside Youth Opportunity Center (Westside YO) works with Baltimore City residents between 18 and 24 years old.
