The mission of Art with a Heart is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art. Art with a Heart brings its interactive visual arts classes to schools, community centers, group homes, shelters, hospitals, permanent housing facilities, and senior housing facilities. We also provide youth leadership programs for 10th and 11th graders and job programs for youth aged 14-24 years.

The Baltimore City Health Department’s Sexual Health & Wellness Clinics provide confidential services for teens and adults, including testing and treatment for STIs, HIV care, PrEP/PEP, pregnancy testing, and more. Clinics offer mental health and substance use referrals. Insurance is accepted, but you can still be seen even if you don’t have insurance or can’t pay.

The Healthy Teens & Young Adults Clinic offers medical services for youth ages 10–24, focusing on reproductive health, family planning, STD/HIV testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, contraception (including IUDs and implants), breast and cervical health exams, substance use and mental health screening with referrals, health education, and counseling. Services are provided on a sliding-scale fee—no one is turned away for inability to pay, and insurance is accepted.

Hearts & Ears, Inc. is a Trans-led, peer-run wellness and recovery center serving LGBTQIA+ individuals in Baltimore City and nearby counties. As Maryland’s only LGBTQIA+ wellness and recovery center, it offers a welcoming space with hybrid groups and activities focused on behavioral health, holistic wellness, daily peer check-ins, and assistance with connecting to resources, designed to support healing and community.

Adelante Familia is a bilingual program at the House of Ruth Maryland dedicated to the eradication of intimate partner violence in the Latino community. Adelante Familia serves Spanish-speaking immigrants living in Baltimore who are victims, or at risk of being victims, or are perpetrators of intimate partner violence. They provide services to people who have gone through Intimate Partner Violence. These include Counseling, Legal Services, Service Coordination, Abuse Intervention Programs and Outreach to the Latino Community

The LGBT National Help Center hosts the LGBT National Youth Talkline, online chat support, and weekly youth chat rooms. The Talkline is a private, volunteer one-to-one online chat, that helps both youth with coming-out issues, safer-sex information, school bullying, family concerns, relationship problems, HIV/AIDS, anxiety and safer sex information and a lot more.

Loving Arms, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) community based organization located in Baltimore City, Maryland. We provide short term, safe and nurturing shelter and supportive services (both residential and non-residential) to unaccompanied, homeless children, and young adults, age 12 to 24. These children are known as throwaways, runaways, homeless, or unstably housed children, many who are victims of human and Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST).

Mountain Manor Treatment Center at Baltimore offers substance use disorders addictions treatment programs that are clinically effective and focused on each individual’s unique needs. They have specifically designed programs for adolescents, young adults and adults. PrEP is for YOUth is a program at the Center for Adolescent and Young Adult Health at the Johns Hopkins Harriet Lane Clinic. They educate, provide clinical services, and community outreach to young people ages 13-25 years old about pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and other ways to stay on top of their sexual health.

PrEPme is a free app for Android and iPhone that connects patients in Maryland to PrEP resources including a location-based list of providers that prescribe PrEP.
Women & PrEP is a set of three videos that provides the nuts and bolts on cisgender women and PrEP – one in English and one in Spanish – as well as sexual health information for transgender women.
Safer Sex for Trans Bodies is a comprehensive sexual health guide for transgender and gender expansive people and their partners. The guide is written by and for members of the transgender community and offers them a long-overdue resource on potentially life-saving and affirming practices, from respectful terminology and definitions to helpful practices for sexual health following transition-related care.
The Pride Center of Maryland is the state’s leading organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for LGBTQ+/SGL individuals across all ages and backgrounds. Through comprehensive programs focused on youth development, mental health support, violence prevention, and trauma-informed care, PCOM fosters equity, justice, and safe access to essential services while building understanding across diverse communities.

The Trevor Project is the leading national nonprofit dedicated to crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth (under 25). Counselors are available 24/7, year-round via phone, text, or online chat—offering confidential, judgment-free support from trained volunteers who understand what you’re going through.

Trans Maryland is a trans-led organization that supports transgender people across the state through advocacy, peer support, and help with legal documents like name and gender marker changes. They offer free or low-cost assistance with IDs, legal paperwork, and host weekly support groups for trans youth and adults. Trans Maryland also works to improve laws and policies that impact the trans community in Maryland.

The Adolescent & Young Adult Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center offers primary care, reproductive health, and testing and treatment for STIs—all in a youth-friendly, hospital-based setting. Services support young people ages 12–24 and include routine check-ups, chronic illness care, sports or camp physicals, family planning (including long-acting birth control), STI screening, cancer screenings, and HIV counseling, testing, and treatment. They also provide specialized transgender health care and support for youth living with or at risk for HIV through the STAR TRACK program.
