Healthy relationship education

The Office of Youth and Trauma Services works to prevent and mitigate exposure to violence and trauma for youth ages 11-24 years. This is accomplished through implementation of evidence based public health and human service models, and collaboration with community, youth and families. Their focus includes school-based violence prevention and intervention, suicide prevention, trauma informed care and mental health first aid training, and victim services.

Alice! is not one person, but a team. The Go Ask Alice! site is supported by a team of Columbia University health promotion specialists, health care providers, and other health professionals, along with a staff of information and research specialists and writers. Go Ask Alice! team members have advanced degrees in public health, health education, medicine, counseling, and a number of other relevant fields.

HARBEL is a caring multipurpose organization that works to build and support our communities through service, advocacy, and empowerment. The foundation of our support to northeast Baltimore is built upon the three pillars of housing, prevention and recovery and community service. There are three main services:

• The Housing Partnership serves communities in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Home buyers should seek services from the housing counseling agency where they are most likely to purchase a home.
• Harbel’s Community Relations program has the most far-reaching positive impact of all of member associations in the Northeast.
• An outpatient substance abuse prevention and treatment center which serves adults and adolescents in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas.

The Johns Hopkins Children’s Mental Health Center (CMHC) specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional and psychiatric difficulties. Our patients have the opportunity to participate in individual and/or family-oriented treatment, as well as child/adolescent and parent groups. We offer complete psychiatric and psychosocial evaluations and also assist parents, schools, agencies and other medical specialists in understanding patient needs.

Bedsider is an online birth control support network for women 18-29. The goal is to help women find the method of birth control that’s right for them and learn how to use it consistently and effectively. The site has information about birth control methods to explore methods, compare methods and answers questions; learn where to get it including at health centers, over the counter emergency contraception; and reminders for birth control reminders and appointment reminders.

Tri-Hearts Counseling provides individual, family, and group therapy.

Tri-Hearts PRP programs provide mentoring services for children and adolescents. Participants learn ways to address their concerns, through fitness activities, educational tutoring, peer groups, and monthly events to become self-sufficient.
