Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI)

KKI is an internationally recognized institution dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with pediatric developmental disabilities and disorders of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system, through patient care, special education, research, and professional training. Clinical programs meet the specialized needs of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. More than 35 different outpatient clinics, three inpatient units, several home and community programs and clinical laboratories all address the specific conditions of children with a wide range of disorders. Service areas include: autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neurorehabilitation and feeding disorders. Most patients at KKI are seen on an outpatient basis. A child may be seen by a single professional or an interdisciplinary team depending upon the nature of the child’s needs.
