The Foster Parent Ombudsman advocates for foster parents and kinship providers, and may act as an intermediary between them and local departments of social services when issues need to be resolved. The Ombudsman investigates complaints against foster parents. The Foster Parent Ombudsman reports to the Office of Secretary in Maryland’s Department of Human Services.
