The Office of Youth and Trauma Services works to prevent and mitigate exposure to violence and trauma for youth ages 11-24 years. This is accomplished through implementation of evidence based public health and human service models, and collaboration with community, youth and families. Their focus includes school-based violence prevention and intervention, suicide prevention, trauma informed care and mental health first aid training, and victim services.

The Family Violence Prevention and Services Program administers the federal Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA), the primary funding source for emergency shelters and related services for victims of domestic violence and their children. Its programs include Resource Centers, State Domestic Violence Coalitions, and support through the National Domestic Violence Hotline. FVPSA-funded initiatives provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and connection to local resources for families experiencing domestic violence.

Futures Without Violence is a national nonprofit dedicated to preventing domestic violence, child abuse, bullying, and sexual assault. The organization develops programs, policy initiatives, and public campaigns to promote safe and healthy relationships. Its Resource Center includes extensive materials specifically for children, youth, and teens to support education, prevention, and empowerment.
HARBEL is a caring multipurpose organization that works to build and support our communities through service, advocacy, and empowerment. Love is Respect is a national website and hotline dedicated to preventing unhealthy relationships and intimate partner violence. They provide education, support, and resources to help young people understand what healthy relationships look like and how to stay safe.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides free, confidential, 24/7 support for victims of domestic violence, offering crisis intervention, safety planning, and connection to local services. Advocates are trained to assist callers and chat users in over 170 languages, helping families find immediate help and long-term resources.

The Violet Project provides sexual and reproductive health education and resources to all youth in Maryland. At violetproject.org, youth can learn about these topics and order safer sex products, menstrual products, and STI testing, all for FREE! The Violet Project is by youth, for youth, with many volunteer opportunities for teens and young adults!
