The Be. Org
The Be. Org serves youth in the Baltimore-Washington area with programs designed to empower young people, build leadership, and develop STEM and life skills. They combine social-emotional learning (SEL) with hands-on experiences to help youth make decisions, manage challenges, and explore opportunities in STEM, culinary arts, and leadership. Programs include:
-
Be. Virtual: High school students gain coding, gamification, and tech skills through a virtual reality STEM and SEL curriculum, including opportunities for tech certifications and workforce readiness.
-
The Food Playground: In partnership with Black Girls Cook, youth explore STEM through culinary arts, edible gardening, and food systems, while building life skills and self-confidence.
-
Be. Future Ready: College and career readiness programming for high school students, offering SEL support, mentorship, and peer-driven growth to prepare for post-secondary success.
-
Character Education: For elementary students, interactive lessons based on the Positive Action curriculum teach intellectual, emotional, and physical development through 15 fun, virtual or in-person lesson plans.
