Teen Volunteer Opportunities at Maryland Zoo in Baltimore
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore offers a Teen Volunteer Program for students ages 14–17 who want to learn about animal care, conservation, and guest engagement while earning service-learning hours. Teens start as Zoo Guides, helping guests and sharing information about exhibits and conservation, and may progress into more specialized roles with training. Volunteering also offers leadership experience, professional development, and the chance to meet peers with shared interests.
