Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake
Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion. Multiple programs are designed for students and youth.
Homeownership Program: A 12-18 month program for first-time homebuyers who want to own an affordable home in Central Maryland.
HabiCorps: 10.5 month-long hands-on training program for individuals facing employment barriers. HabiCorps Trainees earn a living allowance while building affordable homes with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake.
