Center for Adolescent Health: Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) at the Center for Adolescent Health engages local Baltimore youth to guide research, programming, and community initiatives that impact adolescent health and well-being. YAB members meet twice monthly to provide feedback on programs and run their own projects, like the award-winning Granny Project, which addresses food insecurity by pairing local “grannies” with families to teach home cooking using provided ingredients. Through this and other projects, youth gain leadership experience, develop community programs, and amplify their voices on issues that affect their peers.
