Our Clothing Closet is a simple way for us to meet one of the largest needs in Baltimore. Our volunteers work diligently to create a friendly atmosphere where people can come comfortably to shop for warm, gently-used clothing at no cost to them. This often paves the way for shoppers to make a great impression at job interviews and restores a sense of dignity.

Hearts & Ears, Inc. is a mental health and wellness center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Questioning individuals with mental health issues and concerns in Baltimore city. We warmly welcome all sexual and gender minorities. People who are dually stigmatized can have a difficult time finding full acceptance from others. Hearts & Ears aims to be a community where LGBTQIA persons can feel safe, supported, and welcomed. Friends, family and community members are encouraged to attend. We are a wellness and recovery center open 32 hours a week as well as weekly support groups which address addictions, mental health and general concerns. Groups are confidential and are facilitated by caring and supportive members with knowledge of the struggles LGBTQIA persons with mental illness face.
We provide one-on-one peer support and have various support groups and activities for our members. We do not require insurance at this time and no appointments are necessary. We work with people ages 18 and older.

Historic East Baltimore Community Action Coalition Youth Opportunity Center (HEBCAC-YO) addresses the education, counseling, and career development and training needs of out of school youth in East Baltimore. Our caring and knowledgeable staff provides: on site GED and pre-GED classes; individual and group counseling; career training in high growth industries (such as healthcare, hospitality, and construction); life skills workshops and clubs and other fun social activities. YO! serves out-of-school youth and young adults by providing wide-ranging support services and opportunities for participants to reach their academic and career goals. We also connect youth to other needed wrap-around services such as housing, family support and healthcare by referral.

Loving Arms, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) community based organization located in Baltimore City, Maryland. We provide short term, safe and nurturing shelter and supportive services (both residential and non-residential) to unaccompanied, homeless children, and young adults, age 12 to 24. These children are known as throwaways, runaways, homeless, or unstably housed children, many who are victims of human and Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST).

The Salvation Army of Central Maryland operates family service centers to help meet the immediate and short-term needs of thousands of individuals throughout Central Maryland. These family service centers provide the following services

• Utilities and Eviction Assistance: Monetary assistance is provided to qualified applicants for utility-turn-off prevention and eviction assistance.
• Clothing Assistance: Walk-in and scheduled clients request and receive clean and suitable clothing items to meet their basic needs, such as warm clothes for winter months, infant and children’s clothing items, and diapers for infants and toddlers.
• Food Pantry and Food Baskets: An onsite food pantry is stocked with nonperishable food and toiletry items. Walk ins and scheduled clients are eligible to receive items upon verification of identification and proof of housing with cooking facilities. Each applicants is provided a three-day supply of groceries appropriate for their household size. Applicants are eligible for this service every two months.
• Basic Advocacy Services: Case workers serve as advocates for individuals to ensure that each person is made aware of and receives the services to which s/he is entitled.

The Westside Youth Opportunity Center (Westside YO) works with Baltimore City residents between 18 and 24 years old. We are primarily a career development program that includes a full academic program ranging from adult basic education all the way to GED preparation. Year Up’s mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. We are a Higher Education/Workforce Development Program for young adults 18 to 24 years of age.  We provide a one year long program – 1st 6 months (Learning Development in IT, Advanced IT, and Business Operations) and 2nd 6 months our opportunity youth go on internship with one of our corporate partners, i.e. Carefirst, Johns Hopkins, Bank of America, and Exelon, just to name a few.

YES Drop-In Center is Baltimore City’s first drop-in center for homeless youth. YES Drop-In Center is a safe space for youth who are homeless and between the ages of 14-25, to get basic needs met and establish supportive relationships with peer staff  and allies that them make and sustain connections to long-term resources and opportunities.YES prevents and eliminates youth homelessness through the synergy of youth, peer and ally partnerships. The organization’s vision is that all of Baltimore’s youth will easily access supportive services and stable housing to become powerful in their own lives.
