Child abuse education/prevention

The Office of Youth and Trauma Services works to prevent and mitigate exposure to violence and trauma for youth ages 11-24 years. This is accomplished through implementation of evidence based public health and human service models, and collaboration with community, youth and families. Their focus includes school-based violence prevention and intervention, suicide prevention, trauma informed care and mental health first aid training, and victim services.

ELG is a nonprofit licensed by Behavioral Health Services, and CARF Accredited to provide Level I Outpatient care, Level II Intensive Outpatient care, Withdrawal Management, Outpatient Mental Health, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling for Adults and Minors, and Men’s Transitional Housing.

The Family Violence Prevention and Services Program administers the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA), the primary federal funding stream dedicated to the support of emergency shelter and related assistance for victims of domestic violence and their children. Programs listed include Resource Centers, State Domestic Violence Coalitions, and the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

National Pike Health Center offers mental health services throughout the Baltimore area for adults, adolescents and children through both outpatient therapy and psychiatric rehabilitation programs. We offer an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) and a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP).
